During the European Week of Mobility you must promote to leave the car (more) at home for day-to-day trips to work, school or in free time. Liveable cities that are less dominated by cars and more suitable alternatives like the (electric) bicycle, carpooling or public transport are central during this year festival of sustainable mobility. Within the framework of this week, over 1300 activities will be take place over Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia. They are organized in about 100 cities.
Our task was to redesign and develop the site of “Week van de Mobiliteit”. The site must also be responsive.
First of all I did some research to other websites. Which content do they post?
We had to work out 3 pages: home page, agenda and detail page. The main focus of the site was to inform the visitor about the "Week van de mobiliteit" and the activities that they could participate or organize. At the same time, the website had to be visually appealing.
It was a challenge to ballance the information and the visuals, in a way that the visuals would not be overbearing but the still kept it's character, especially when designing for a mobile screensize.
